Cooking for Kids! Summer Workshops for Children at The Bespoke Cuisine Cookery School!

The Bespoke Cuisine Cookery School, based in Stamullen, Co Meath, is pleased to announce that it will be running a series of summer workshops for children and teenagers from 7 to 16 years old.

Budding young Jamie Oliver’s and Rachel Allen’s will be able to take part in hands-on cookery and craft workshops at Bespoke Cuisine Cookery School. They will enjoy the art of cooking but also learn about food, cookery terms, and safety in the kitchen. Workshops will also include a craft element which will incorporate food. Children will decorate their own apron; and make napkin rings and table decorations from salt dough.

The Bespoke Cuisine Workshops are specifically designed so that students learn to measure, pour, mix and create their own food masterpieces. The highlight of the day is when students and tutors sit down and enjoy the two course meal they have prepared.

Week long classes for 7-11 year olds will take place on weeks commencing 7th July, 21st July and 18th August. The aspiring chefs will be taught to create Fish Fingers, Scones, Smoothies, Pasta with Meatballs and Spicy Sauce, Homemade Burgers, Chunky Chips, Chicken Stirfry, Southern Fried Chicken and Raspberry & White Chocolate Muffins, so when they get home they can give their parents a break!

Workshops for 12-16 year olds will run on weeks commencing 30th June, 14th July, 28th July and 11th August. Dishes prepared include Chicken wrapped in bacon, Chicken Fajitas, Crunchy Coated Cod, Creamy Pasta with Mushrooms and Bacon, Pizza, Meringue, Smoothies, Nut, Oat & Cranberry Cookies and the World’s best Chocolate Brownies.

Each day will start with a demonstration. Then each child will get to make that particular item supervised by Bespoke Cuisine’s highly skilled and professional staff. The workshops offer children a chance to broaden their social circle, give them an understanding of good nutrition and learn the value of team work in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Bespoke Cuisine provides all the utensils and supplies that are used at the workshop and each child will receive an apron and a recipe pack for use in the workshop which they can bring home at the end of the workshop. Classes can be adapted to suit vegetarian diets. A one week workshop is €195.
