Dublin, 12 February 2008 : The Irish Independent Directory, announced that 1.3 million homes will receive a free Independent Directory this year following the launch of dedicated directories in Cork and a number of new regions including Limerick, Clare & Tipperary, and Carlow & Kilkenny.

The new Irish Independent Directories features a comprehensive A to Z of local businesses, restaurant guide, and useful information services in each of the regions covered including, 190,000 in Cork, 140,000 in Limerick, Tipperary and Clare, 500,000 homes in Dublin this week and 60,000 in Carlow and Kilkenny over the coming weeks.

Each Independent Directory is a fantastic source of local information not to mention money off vouchers for restaurants, take-aways and hair salons. The Independent Directory for each region is a lot more than just an A to Z it is a comprehensive guide of useful information featuring:

Between now and September, almost 1.3 million households nationwide will receive a free Irish Independent Directory which will give them a greater insight into their local amenities and services.”

The company is also pleased to announce that it is launching an Irish Independent Directory for the west of Ireland and have recently appointed a sales manager to look after advertising sales in the region (Galway & Mayo). The West Independent Directory will be published and distributed to 140,000 homes in early 2009.

The Independent Directory has been published in Dublin for over 18 years and now prints and distributes copies to half a million homes in the region. Over the past twelve months, directories have also rolled out nationwide to almost one million householders in Cork, Kildare/Wicklow and Louth/Meath and distribution is underway to 60,000 houses to Carlow/Kilkenny presently. 110,000 homes in Kildare/Wicklow and Louth/Meath will receive second editions of their Independent Directory in June 2008.
